Analytical tools and third-party tools
Use of Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to analyse website usage. The data acquired is used to optimise our website and advertising measures.
Google Analytics is a web analysis service operated and provided by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States). Google processes the data about website usage on our behalf and is under a legal obligation to take action to ensure the confidentiality of the processed data.
When you visit our website the following data is recorded:
- Retrieved pages
- The attainment of "website targets" (e.g. contact inquiries and newsletter subscriptions)
- Your behaviour on the pages (e.g. clicks, scrolling and length of stay)
- Your approximate location (country and town/city)
- Your IP address (in shortened form so that a clear assignment is not possible)
- Technical information such as browser, Internet provider, end device and screen resolution
- Origin of your visit (i.e. from which website or advertising measures you reached us)
This data is transferred to a Google server in the USA. Google complies with the data protection regulations of the "EU-US Privacy Shield" agreement.
Google Analytics saves cookies on your web browser for a period of two years since your last visit. These cookies contain a randomly generated user ID, with which you can be recognised during future website visits.
The recorded data is saved together with the randomly generated user ID, which makes possible the evaluation of pseudonymised user profiles. This user-related data is automatically deleted after 26 months. Other data is stored for an unlimited time in aggregated form.
If you wish, you can prevent the collection of this data with the one-off installation of the browser add-on for the deactivation of Google Analytics.
2. General notes and required information
Please note that data transmission on the Internet (such as e-mail communication) may be affected by security vulnerabilities. It is impossible to protect data completely from access by third parties.
Information about the entity responsible
The entity responsible for data processing on this website is:
Schumacher Packaging GmbH
96237 Ebersdorf bei Coburg, Germany
Tel.: +49 (0) 9562 383 0
The entity responsible (controller) is the natural or legal person which, alone or jointly with others, determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data (e.g. names, e-mail addresses, etc.).
Withdrawing your consent to data processing
Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You can withdraw consent you have previously given at any time by sending us an informal e-mail. The lawfulness of data processing that has taken place before you withdraw your consent will remain unaffected by this.
Right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority
In the event of infringement of data protection law, the affected party (data subject) has the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. The competent supervisory authority for matters of data protection is the German State Commissioner for Data Protection in whose state our company has its registered office. A list of the data protection officers and their contact details can be found under the following link: https://www.bfdi.bund.de/DE/Infothek/Anschriften_Links/anschriften_links-node.html.
Right to data portability
You have the right to have data that we process by automated means on the basis of your consent or in order to fulfil a contract supplied to you or a third party in a commonly used, machine-readable format. Should you request that your data be transferred directly to a different controller, this request will only be granted if it is technically feasible.
SSL and TLS encryption
This site uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or queries that you send to us in our capacity as the site operator. You can tell when your connection is encrypted because the browser address bar changes from "http://" to "https://" and the padlock symbol is displayed in your browser bar.
When SSL or TLS encryption is enabled, the data that you send to us cannot be read by third parties.
Provision of information, restriction of processing and erasure
As part of the applicable legal provisions, you have the right to information about the personal data we hold about you, its origin, recipient(s) and the purpose of the data processing, as well as the right to rectification, restriction of processing and erasure of this data, without charge and at any time. You can contact us at any time regarding such matters or regarding other questions about personal data at the address given in the provider identification information.
No consent to e-mail advertisements
We hereby withhold consent to contact data published in accordance with provider identification requirements being used for the purpose of sending advertisements and informational material which have not been expressly requested. The operators of the website expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event that unsolicited advertising information is sent, for example, in the form of spam e-mail.

Most of the cookies we use are session cookies. They are deleted automatically at the end of your visit. Other cookies continue to be stored on your device until you delete them. By using these cookies, we can recognise your browser the next time you visit.
Server log files
The site provider collects and stores information automatically in server log files, which your browser sends to us automatically. These include:
- Browser type and version
- Operating system used
- Referrer URL
- Time of the server request
- IP address
This data is not merged with data from other sources.
The basis for this data processing is Article 6(1b) GDPR, which permits data processing in order to fulfil a contract or for measures prior to the conclusion of a contract.
If you send us a query using the contact form, we store your details from the query form, including the contact data you enter on it, in order to process the query and deal with any follow-up questions. We will not share this data without your consent.
The data you enter in the contact form is therefore processed solely on the basis of your consent (Article 6(1a) GDPR). You can withdraw this consent at any time by sending us an informal e-mail. The lawfulness of data processing operations that have taken place before you withdraw your consent will remain unaffected by this.
We will retain the data you enter in the contact form until you request its erasure, withdraw your consent to its storage, or the purpose for which it was stored no longer exists (e.g. if your query has been processed and completed). Mandatory statutory provisions – particularly retention periods – remain unaffected.
If you would like to receive the newsletter offered on the website, we need you to provide us with an e-mail address and details that allow us to check that you are the holder of the e-mail address provided and that you consent to receiving the newsletter. Additional data is either not collected or is only collected on a voluntary basis. We use this data solely to send you the requested information and we do not share it with third parties.
The data you enter in the contact form is therefore processed solely on the basis of your consent (Article 6(1a) GDPR). You can withdraw your consent to storing the data, the e-mail address and its use to send the newsletter at any time, for example by using the "Unsubscribe" link in the newsletter. The lawfulness of data processing operations that have already taken place will remain unaffected by withdrawal of consent.
The data we store for the purpose of managing newsletter subscriptions is stored by us until you unsubscribe from the newsletter, after which it is erased. Data that we store for other purposes (e.g. e-mail addresses for the Members Area) remains unaffected by this.
This website uses CleverReach to send newsletters. This service is provided by CleverReach GmbH & Co. KG, Mühlenstrasse 43, 26180 Rastede, Germany. CleverReach is a service that enables newsletter distribution to be organised and analysed. The data you enter for the purpose of receiving the newsletter (such as your e-mail address) is stored on CleverReach servers in Germany and Ireland.
The newsletters we send through CleverReach allow us to analyse the behaviour of the recipients. For example, they enable us to analyse how many recipients open the newsletter message and how often each link in the newsletter is clicked, in addition to other aspects. Using conversion tracking also enables analysis of whether a pre-defined action (e.g. purchasing a product on our website) is carried out after clicking on the link in the newsletter. You can find further information on data analysis performed via CleverReach newsletters at: www.cleverreach.com/de/funktionen/reporting-und-tracking/.
The data is processed on the basis of your consent (Article 6(1a) GDPR). You can withdraw this consent at any time by unsubscribing from the newsletter. The lawfulness of data processing operations that have already taken place will remain unaffected by withdrawal of consent.
If you do not wish CleverReach to perform any analyses, you must unsubscribe from the newsletter. We provide a corresponding link in each newsletter message for this purpose. You can also unsubscribe from the newsletter directly on the website.
The data we store for the purpose of managing newsletter subscriptions is stored by us until you unsubscribe from the newsletter, after which it is erased both from our servers and those of CleverReach. Data that we store for other purposes (e.g. e-mail addresses for the Members Area) remains unaffected by this.
Conclusion of an agreement on commissioned data processing
We have concluded a contract on commissioned data processing with CleverReach and implemented in full the strict provisions of the German data protection authorities in our use of CleverReach.
