Impending recession: investing in the future

Despite the impending recession, or perhaps because of it, almost all production facilities at Schumacher are questioned. Wulf Schumacher, however, remains true to his principles and values: he decides to make a fresh start in an entrepreneurially far-sighted and anti-cyclical manner. In a huge investment programme of around DM 100 million, all the facilities are brought up to the state of the art within five years.
