Poland: important growth market in the East

The search for a suitable location to enter the Polish market is initially laborious. In January 2000 the time has come: the newly built production plant for corrugated board packaging at the gates of Breslau is inaugurated and the newly founded subsidiary "Tektura Wrocław" goes into operation. In a joint venture, the company also acquires a stake in Verpa Folie Wrocław, a producer of polyethylene films. The expansion into Poland marks the beginning of a decade of rapid expansion for the company.
